Seven Steps. One Fully Certified Journey.

Our Process — Steps
01
pile of redundant office IT equipment awaiting collection and disposal

Step 1 · Our Process

Book a Collection, We Come to You

Booking takes minutes: call us on 0333 015 3501 or book online, and we handle everything from there. Whether it's a single cabinet of retired laptops or a full office clearance, you'll get a free, no-obligation assessment — over the phone for straightforward collections, or with a free on-site survey for larger and more complex projects. We collect anywhere in the UK, at a time that works around your business — the first step in a fully certified, WEEE-compliant IT asset disposal process.

Step 2 · Our Process

On-Site Audit & Asset Assessment

On collection day, our BS 7858 security-screened, fully insured staff inspect and log every item before it leaves your building. All equipment is individually counted — and those counts are recorded on your Duty of Care and Hazardous Waste Consignment documentation, so what we collect is exactly what your paperwork says we collected. Every item is assessed for security, condition and re-use potential, entering a complete audit trail through our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified ITAD process — nothing leaves site unaccounted for.

Step 3 · Our Process

Paperwork Signed Before We Leave Your Site

No paperwork chases, no documents in the post. Our staff complete your Waste Transfer Note and Duty of Care documentation — plus the Hazardous Waste Consignment Note where required — digitally, on site, through our secure ITAD portal. The quantities counted in your audit go straight onto the documents, you review and sign on screen, and copies are emailed to you before our van leaves the car park. Legal responsibility transfers cleanly, with an auditable compliance record from the very first minute — fully in line with Environment Agency and WEEE requirements.

Step 4 · Our Process

Secure Loading & GPS-Tracked Transport

Every item is securely loaded and restrained to prevent damage in transit — and from the moment we pull away, your consignment never goes dark. Our fleet is fully insured and GPS-tracked, with vehicle and driver location monitored throughout, and every driver security-screened to BS 7858. Your equipment travels in an unbroken, traceable chain of custody, direct from your premises to our Environment Agency approved facility — no depots, no third-party couriers, no gaps.

Step 5 · Our Process

Checked In at Our Licensed Facility

On arrival at our Environment Agency approved facility, your consignment is checked in against the collection record — item for item, weight for weight — before any processing begins. Anything hazardous is booked in under its consignment note, completing the legal chain your paperwork started on site. From here, your equipment is processed under our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system, with 100% of collected equipment diverted from landfill.

Step 6 · Our Process

Certified Data Destruction

This is the step everything else protects. Every data-bearing device is processed to HMG Infosec Standard No. 5 — the UK Government data erasure standard — or NIST 800-88, Clear or Purge, matched to your data destruction policy. Where destruction is required, media is physically shredded in accordance with BS EN 15713. Devices are serialised as they are processed, so every drive, tape and handset is individually accounted for on your certificate. Our information security practices are Cyber Essentials Plus certified and we're ICO registered — your data isn't just destroyed, it's provably destroyed.

Step 7 · Final Step

One pack, one reference, total transparency: everything your auditor, your DPO or your board will ever ask for, delivered together and verifiable end to end.

Certified Data Destruction — On-Site or At Our Secure Facility

Every data-bearing device we handle is destroyed beyond recovery — to NIST 800-88 Clear or Purge level, applied to your specific policy. We use Blancco, the industry’s leading ADISA-certified data erasure software, and carry out all work in compliance with HMG Infosec Standard and BS EN 15713, the authoritative UK and European standards for secure destruction of confidential material.

Where software erasure isn’t sufficient — or where your policy requires physical destruction — we shred devices on-site at your premises or at our secure facility.

You receive a data destruction certificate — per device or consolidated, your choice — within five working days, alongside your WEEE disposal certificate. Your certificates provide the documented audit trail that UK GDPR accountability requires when disposing of data-bearing equipment. All destruction is carried out by BS 7858 security-vetted staff.
