IT Disposal and Computer Recycling, Nationwide Since 2014

Computer IT Disposals has handled the secure disposal of computers and redundant IT equipment for businesses, schools, NHS trusts and public sector organisations since 2014. Whether you are clearing a single office or decommissioning across multiple sites, we collect using our own GPS-tracked vehicles and security-vetted drivers, process everything at our Environment Agency licensed facility within five working days, and return the paperwork your compliance team needs for internal records or ISO audits — asset audit report, WEEE disposal certificate and data destruction certificates.

Collection is free for 20 or more qualifying items in England, Scotland and Wales — standard collections within a week, with same-day, out-of-hours and weekend collections available where downtime matters. Don’t have 20 items? No problem — email us your equipment list and we may still be able to offer free collection and data destruction. Either way, you’ll have a clear answer before you book.

Data Destruction to NIST 800-88      On-Site or Off-Site

All data destruction is carried out in accordance with UK and international standards — including HMG Infosec Standard, BS EN 15713 Security standards and NIST 800-88 — ensuring secure, GDPR-compliant IT asset disposal at every stage. Every data-bearing device is processed to NIST 800-88 — Clear or Purge, to your policy — using Blancco, ADISA-certified data erasure software, or physically shredded where destruction is required. Shredding is available at your premises or at our facility:

Hard drives, mobile phones and tablets for shredding

Hard drives, mobile phones and tablets — shredded to 6–8mm

SSDs and USB flash drives for shredding

SSDs and USB flash drives — shredded to 2mm

LTO backup tapes for shredding

LTO backup tapes — shredded to 10mm, on-site or off-site

Complete hardware like laptops, PCs, and servers for destruction

Complete hardware (laptops, PCs, servers) — destroyed to 12mm to 15mm

We also provide confidential waste shredding for documents and paper records. You receive a data destruction certificate — per device or consolidated, your choice — within five working days, alongside your WEEE disposal certificate. Your certificates provide the documented audit trail that UK GDPR accountability requires when disposing of data-bearing equipment. All destruction is carried out by BS 7858 security-vetted staff.

100% Diverted from Landfill — With the Report to Prove It

100% Diverted from Landfill

Nothing we collect goes to landfill. Every item is reused, remarketed or recycled back into the supply chain — and with every collection we can provide an Environmental Impact / ESG Report: a full breakdown of the material received, how much was reused, how much was recycled, and which material streams it entered. Evidence ready to hand straight to your sustainability or ESG team.
