Every data-bearing device is processed to HMG Infosec Standard No. 5, the UK Government data erasure standard, or NIST 800-88, Clear or Purge, matched to your data destruction policy. Where destruction is required, drives are physically shredded in line with BS EN 15713: hard drives to 6–8mm and SSDs to 2mm.

Collected equipment travels directly to our Environment Agency licensed facility in Nottingham, which is alarmed, access-controlled and CCTV-monitored around the clock by an external security company. Every item is checked against your collection record and logged in our ITAD asset portal, where your team can follow it.

Data-bearing devices are erased or destroyed to the agreed standard first. Equipment with resale value is assessed for a rebate, and everything else is separated into material streams and recycled. Nothing from a Birmingham computer disposal goes to landfill.

Business IT is electrical waste, so it must be recycled under the WEEE Regulations and handed only to a licensed carrier with a Waste Transfer Note under your Duty of Care.
