The data on more than 1,100 devices — laptops, servers, mobiles and 84 loose drives — had to be erased or destroyed before anything left the premises.
A Mixed IT Estate
Eleven asset types, from UPS units to mobile phones, needed collecting, counting and documenting as a single consignment in one visit.
Environmental Responsibility
Working equipment had to be refurbished for reuse where possible, with everything else recovered for recycling and nothing sent to landfill.
Full Compliance
UK GDPR and the WEEE Duty of Care both had to be satisfied, with certificates and a serialised audit trail as evidence.

4. Data Destruction
Reusable drives erased to HMG IS5; 84 loose drives and failed media shredded to BS EN 15713.
5. Reuse & Recycling
Working kit refurbished; the rest sent for material recovery. 100% diverted from landfill.
6. Certification
WEEE Disposal and Data Destruction Certificates issued under one reference within five working days.
